She stays current on styles and techniques, which shows in her amazing work. She's cut, colored and highlighted my hair and every time she's exceeded my expectations. Recently, I went from very long hair to a short precision, angled style with a lot of texturizing (to keep my curly hair straight for the look). Until Nelly, I couldn't find a stylist with enough skill to do it (including at the ridiculously priced NY salons). She gave me EXACTLY the haircut I always wanted!! | "Went in for a partial highlight and cut. Customer service was great and they did an amazing job! Nelly did my cut and another woman did my color (didn't catch her name). Both were fabulous. I usually wait to get a groupon/living social/etc. to get my hair done to save money, but after a bad experience trying to use my coupon at a NYC salon, I made a last minute appointment at Studio 12. They made my highlights look so natural and Nelly did a really great cut--completely worth paying the full price. Their customer service and non-pushy sales techniques were refreshing. I will definitely go back." |

| "If you are looking for a friendly experience with service from the second you walk in, Studio Twelve is the place to be. I am newer to Hoboken and have been going home to get my hair done. I recently saw a groupon deal and noticed how close and convenient the salon was to my apartment. I decided to give it a try and boy am I glad I did. I am already excited to go back in a few weeks. They offered me wine, water or tea the moment I walked in. I am not one to typically do something more than a cut but with getting married this summer I wanted to give my hair a new look and shiny appeal. Beatriz knew just the thing! She helped me overcome my fear of dye and my hair turned out awesome! I just did subtle nature highlights a tone lighter than my natural shade and it came out so perfect. She effectively and evenly created the partial highlights in my hair, washed it and even took the time to use a deep conditioner before the cut and blow dry amongst great conversation. If you are looking for a place that you can rely with somewhat reasonable prices for Hoboken, this is the place! I highly recommend Beatriz and all she has to offer at Studio Twelve." |
